2.3 describe the functions of the nucleus, cytoplasm, cell membrane, cell wall, chloroplast and vacuole

Functions:
Nucleus: information center of the cell. Also contains the genetic information of the cell.
Cytoplasm: where all the chemical reactions occur.
Cell Membrane: separates cell contents from the environment.
Cell Wall: protects the cell and maintains/ determines the shape of the cell.
Chloroplast: where photosynthesis takes place and where it uses the energy from the sun to produce glucose.

Vacuole: contains food or water
